
![]() NEW & EXCITING!!! “The COMPANY” “The Company” Questions and Answers that may help you understand what “The Company” is all about and what to expect…. **What is “The Company”? “The Company” was designed for student’s who are passionate about the Performing Arts, an opportunity to get quality Workshop, Class AND Production training at an affordable price. “The Company” will consist of a small selected group of Musical Theatre Students that really WANT to master their artistic crafts through classes, workshops, production and showcases. As a member of “The Company” you will receive training for one year in all areas of the Arts including~ Acting, Singing, Dancing, Tap, Music Theory as well as Improvisation, Audition Technique, Costuming, Make-up and Tech. “The Company” will offer you 2 productions ~ The first Blackbox production will be in the fall and will feature a collection of Short Dramatic Plays. Every member of “The Company” will be cast and will have the opportunity to work with Character building as they relate a story to us WITHOUT singing and dancing. A plus for all serious actors! “The Company” will also produce One Full Scale Musical Production to be performed in the “Spring". This production will be for "The Company" cast members only. Also, Company cast members will be involved in the decision making of which Musical production we will perform. How exciting I that! Members of “The Company” will also participate in a Formal “Red Carpet” Final Ceremony “Showcase”, in which they will showcase some of their best work of the year. Some cast members will be nominated for a “Tony” award for “Best” Actress/Actor, Dancer/Singer and/or Most improved and all cast members will be given a certificate of accomplishment and commended for all their hard work. It will be a special night for “Company” Cast members as we wrap up the year! FUN For ALL! “The Company” will also provide you with three classes a week for a year, ranging in a variety of different artistic areas. Two, out of the three class choices, will be determined for you by our instructors, based on your audition, and where they feel you may need additional training. One of the three class choices will be YOUR choice to take whatever you want. We will provide Classes and Workshops designed for all skill levels, so that every Cast Member will reach their Artistic goals within their one - year commitment. **YIKES! I have to commit to a year? Does that mean I can’t do anything else? No, you can do other activities as long as they do not conflict with our classes and rehearsals. Our classes will be held on Monday evenings and our production rehearsals will be on Saturdays from 9-12 pm. **But what if those days do not work for me? We want to encourage you to take as many master classes and workshops as you can. One of the main objectives of being a Company member is that you are willing to “COMMIT AND DO THE WORK” in order to master your artistic abilities. However, if there are classes you will have to miss due to other commitments, we will need to know upfront when auditioning for “The Company” and we will see what options we can offer you to compensate for any classes missed, such as taking another class on a different day, if available. **What does it cost to be in “The Company”? “The Company” members pay one flat monthly rate of $195.00, which includes all classes, workshops, showcases, production training and performance for the entire year. (excluding a $60.00 Costume fee per production) This program was designed for students who are passionate about the Arts, the opportunity to get quality training AND production at an affordable price. **Who should Audition? Do I have to be a Triple threat? YOU should audition! We are specifically looking for passionate performers who want to learn and hone their skills. Triple threats are great, and are hope is to make YOU a triple threat, if you are not one already. **What if I’m not a part of “The Company” will StarLight still be offering classes and productions? Great Question!, If you are not a part of “The Company”, Yes, StarLight will still be offering classes at our studios at our regular rate as well as continuing to offer our popular Musical “Mini” productions as well as our full scale productions for both age groups 5-11 AND 10-20. **Who will be Teaching and Directing? StarLight already has a fantastic staff on hand, however, we have added an additional Choreographer, Director and Vocal director to our StarLight Family.
